1979 Batch of Indian Revenue Service Customs & Central Excise); served Government of India in various capacities at different places in India, including the distinguished service in the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Chennai Zone; whereat earned cash rewards and commendation for customs investigations and for anti-smuggling works, from the then Finance Minister. He was the promoter and Founder Director cum Secretary, Siddhartha Foundation, an NGO which renders daily free medical services to the slums of Bengaluru. In pursuance of his long-cherished desire to “give back to the society” now promoted this ACCI, “for the of entrepreneurship,' “of the entrepreneurs” & “by the entrepreneurs”. ACCI has affirmative focus for the entrepreneurship development from the hitherto left out segment of the society and for the focused development of women entrepreneurship, especially in MSME sector.

Retired as Chairman and Managing Director of ITI Limited, Bengaluru based PSU under the Ministry of Communication, Government of India, after working for 38 years in the Company in various capacities, as Divisional Head, Plant Head, Director (Production) etc. He has played vital role to turn around the Company which was making continuous loss for 16 year. His priority was to sustain the revival struggle and further improve the performance which resulted in achievement of making it as a profit-making PSU in subsequent years. He has established setting up of HDPE duct and optical fibre cable manufacturing infrastructure and led the Company for further diversification into internet of things, 3D printing, Smart card production for Banks, Solar Panel manufacturing etc. He is the recipient of Distinguished Alumnus Award from REC (now NIT), Trichy.
